## How to use it
1. **Install FFmpeg once.** The first time, OneMacTools offers to install FFmpeg through Homebrew with one click.
2. **Drop your videos.** Add the videos to brand. To use a logo, drop a PNG along with them; it's used instead of text.
3. **Type your watermark.** If you're not using a logo, type the text, such as © Your Name, in the right-hand panel.
4. **Place it.** Choose the corner or centre, the size as a share of the video's width, and how see-through it is.
5. **Click Watermark.** Each video gets the watermark and is saved with “watermarked” in its name, in a new dated folder in Downloads › OneMacTools. Check them with the Preview (eye) button or Show in Finder. Your originals stay clean.

## Options
- **Text:** The words to stamp on the video, in bold white with a soft shadow. It's ignored if you add a logo image.
- **Position:** Bottom right (the default), Bottom left, Top right, Top left or Centre. Corner positions sit a small margin in from the edge.
- **Size:** From 5% to 40% of the video's width, 18% by default. The watermark keeps its shape, so this sets its width.
- **Opacity:** From 20% to 100%, 80% by default. Lower it for a subtle mark that doesn't distract; raise it for a preview you don't want reused.

## Tips
- Use a PNG with a transparent background for your logo. A JPEG logo will show its white or coloured box on the video.
- Bottom right is the least distracting place for a brand mark. Centre at around 40% opacity is better for client previews you don't want reused.
- Keep text short. A name or handle at 12–20% of the width reads well on both phones and big screens.
- Check the corner against your platform. Captions and buttons on Reels and TikTok cover the bottom right, so Top left may be safer there.
- Watermark last, after trimming and cropping, so the mark sits where you expect in the final frame.

## Questions
**How do I add a watermark to a video on a Mac?**
Drop the video onto Watermark Video, type your text, pick a corner and click Watermark. The marked copy is saved as a new file.

**How do I put my logo on a video?**
Drop your logo as a PNG along with the videos. It's used instead of the text, sized and placed with the same settings.

**Can I make the watermark see-through?**
Yes. Set Opacity anywhere from 20% to 100%. Around 50–80% is visible without getting in the way.

**Can I watermark several videos at once?**
Yes. Drop all the videos (and your logo, if you're using one) and they're all marked with the same settings.

**Can the watermark be removed afterwards?**
Not easily. It's drawn into every frame of the picture, which is why you should keep your clean original.

**Why does it say “Type watermark text in the inspector, or add a PNG logo”?**
The Text box is empty and no image was added. Type something in Text or drop a logo along with the videos.
