## How to use it
1. **Install FFmpeg once.** If it isn't installed, OneMacTools offers to install FFmpeg through Homebrew with one click.
2. **Drop your video.** Drag in the clip you want to cut down. You can add several and they're all trimmed with the same times.
3. **Type the start and end.** Enter times like 0:12 and 1:30 in the right-hand panel. Leave End empty to keep everything after the start.
4. **Click Trim.** The part between the two times is saved as a new clip, cut exactly at the frames you asked for.
5. **Watch the clip.** Copies ending in “trimmed” are saved in a new dated folder in Downloads › OneMacTools. Check them with the Preview (eye) button or Show in Finder. Your original is untouched.

## Options
- **Start:** Where the clip begins, such as 0:12, 1:02:03 or just 90 for 90 seconds. Decimals like 0:12.5 work too. Leave it empty to start from the beginning.
- **End:** Where the clip ends, in the same formats. Leave it empty to keep everything up to the end of the video. It must be after the start.

## Tips
- Find the exact times by playing the video in QuickTime Player and reading the time when you pause.
- Use decimals, like 0:41.5, when you need to cut between two seconds.
- Leave a second of breathing room at each end. Clips that start mid-word feel abrupt.
- Trim before compressing or converting to a GIF, so the next tool has less to process.
- Trimming a batch applies the same times to every file, which is handy for recordings that all share the same intro.

## Questions
**How do I trim a video on a Mac?**
Drop it onto Trim Video, type a start and end time such as 0:12 and 1:30, and click Trim. The clip is saved as a new file and the original stays as it was.

**What time formats can I type?**
Minutes and seconds (1:30), hours, minutes and seconds (1:02:03), or plain seconds (90). Decimals like 0:12.5 work too.

**How do I cut off just the beginning of a video?**
Type the start time and leave End empty. Everything from that point to the end is kept.

**Is the cut frame-accurate?**
Yes. The clip is re-encoded rather than copied, so it starts and ends exactly where you asked instead of at the nearest keyframe.

**Can I keep several separate parts of a video?**
Trim Video keeps one part at a time. Run it once for each part, then join them with Merge Videos if you want them in one file.

**Why do I get “The end time must be after the start time”?**
The End you typed is the same as or earlier than the Start. Check the times, or leave End empty to go to the end of the video.
