## How to use it
1. **Add the PDF.** Drop the PDF onto Sign PDF. To use your real signature, drop a PNG or other image of it in at the same time.
2. **Set your signature.** If you didn't add an image, type your name in Signature and it's written in a handwriting style.
3. **Place it.** Choose the page (last, first or every page), the position along the bottom, the size, and whether to add today's date.
4. **Click Sign.** A signed copy ending in “signed” is saved in a dated folder in Downloads › OneMacTools. Open it with the Preview (eye) button to check.

## Options
- **Signature:** Type your name to sign in a dark-blue handwriting style. If you dropped a signature image with the PDF, the image is used instead.
- **Page:** Last page (the default), First page or Every page. Every page suits initialling each page of an agreement.
- **Position:** Bottom right, Bottom left or Bottom centre, a fixed distance in from the bottom of the page.
- **Size:** From 20 to 90 pt (36 pt by default). Sets the height of the signature image or the size of the typed name.
- **Add today's date:** On by default. Prints today's date in small grey text under the signature.

## Tips
- For the most convincing result, sign on white paper with a dark pen, photograph or scan it, and use a PNG with a transparent background.
- If your PDF is a fillable form, fill it in first, then run it through Grayscale & Flatten PDF (Flattened) before signing, so your answers are part of the page.
- The signature always goes near the bottom of the page. If the signature line is elsewhere, check the position works before you send it.
- To sign one page of a long document, extract that page with Extract Pages, sign it, and send just the page if that's all that's needed.
- You can drop several PDFs with one signature image to sign them all the same way in one go.

## Questions
**How do I sign a PDF on a Mac?**
Drop the PDF, type your name to sign in a handwriting style or add an image of your real signature, choose the page and position, and click Sign. Add today's date if you like.

**Is this a legally binding digital signature?**
It places your signature on the page, like signing a printout. It isn't a certificate-based digital signature, so if a contract asks for one, check with the other party what they need.

**How do I use my handwritten signature?**
Sign a sheet of white paper, scan or photograph it, and drop the image in with the PDF. A PNG with a transparent background looks best, as there's no paper colour around the ink.

**Can I put the signature exactly on the signature line?**
Not exactly. You choose bottom left, centre or right, and it's placed a fixed distance from the bottom edge, which suits most forms and letters.

**How do I initial every page?**
Type your initials in Signature, set Page to Every page and pick a smaller size. Turn Add today's date off if you only want initials.

**Can I sign several PDFs at once?**
Yes. Drop all the PDFs, with one signature image if you're using one, and each is signed the same way.
