## How to use it
1. **Drop your screenshots.** Add one screenshot or several. They all get the same style.
2. **Pick a background.** Choose one of six gradients, from bright Ocean and Sunset to subtle Graphite and Paper.
3. **Adjust the frame.** Set the padding and corner radius, keep or remove the shadow, and pick a canvas shape if it's going on a slide or social post.
4. **Click Beautify.** Each screenshot is placed on the background and saved as a PNG with “beautified” in its name.
5. **Share it.** The images are saved in a new dated folder in Downloads › OneMacTools. Use the Preview (eye) button to check them or Show in Finder to drag them into your post or slides.

## Options
- **Background:** Ocean, Sunset, Mint, Grape, Graphite or Paper: a diagonal gradient behind the screenshot. Paper and Graphite are the most neutral for documentation; the colourful ones stand out on social media.
- **Padding:** From 4% to 24% of the screenshot's longer side, 10% by default. More padding gives a calmer, more spacious look.
- **Corner radius:** From 0% to 8% of the screenshot's shorter side, 2% by default. Set it to 0 for square corners.
- **Shadow:** On by default. Adds a soft drop shadow under the screenshot so it lifts off the background.
- **Canvas:** Fit screenshot keeps the canvas to the screenshot plus padding. 16:9, 4:3 and 1:1 extend the background to that shape for slides, videos and square posts, without cropping the screenshot.

## Tips
- Take the screenshot of a single window (Shift-Command-4, then Space) so there's no desktop clutter around it.
- Choose 16:9 for slides and video thumbnails and 1:1 for square social posts. The screenshot stays whole and centred.
- Use the same background and padding across a set of screenshots so a blog post or deck looks consistent.
- Crop out anything private first, or use Redact Images to black out emails and numbers before you beautify.
- For a device frame around the screenshot, use Device Mockups instead.

## Questions
**How do I make a screenshot look nice for Twitter or LinkedIn?**
Drop it onto Screenshot Beautifier, pick a colourful background like Ocean or Sunset, set Canvas to 16:9 or 1:1 and click Beautify. You get a polished PNG ready to post.

**Will the screenshot lose quality?**
No. It's drawn at its original resolution and saved as a lossless PNG. Only the background, corners and shadow are added.

**Can I use a transparent background?**
Not in Screenshot Beautifier; it always draws one of the gradients. Device Mockups can put a screenshot on a transparent background.

**Why is the file bigger than my screenshot?**
The canvas adds padding around the screenshot and it's saved as PNG. If you need a smaller file, run the result through Compress PNG.

**Can I beautify several screenshots in one go?**
Yes. Drop them all and they're each given the same background, padding and corners.
