## How to use it
1. **List what you're charging for.** Type one item per line as description | quantity | price, like Website design | 1 | 1200. Rows pasted from Numbers or Excel work too.
2. **Add the details.** Fill in From, Your details, Bill to and Client details in the right-hand panel. Separate lines with a semicolon, like 12 High St; London; hello@example.com.
3. **Set the invoice terms.** Give it an invoice number, pick the currency, tax rate and when payment is due, and add notes such as your bank details.
4. **Click Create Invoice.** A PDF named after the invoice number is saved in a dated folder in Downloads › OneMacTools, and OneMacTools shows you the total.
5. **Check and send.** Open it with the Preview (eye) button, then Show in Finder to attach it to an email.

## Options
- **From:** Your name or business name, shown at the top of the From column.
- **Your details:** Your address, email, tax number or anything else. Separate lines with semicolons.
- **Bill to:** Your client's name.
- **Client details:** Your client's address and email, with semicolons between lines.
- **Invoice number:** Shown on the invoice and used in the file name. Leave it blank and OneMacTools uses INV- plus today's date, like INV-20261014.
- **Currency:** USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AUD, CAD, SGD, AED, JPY, CHF, NZD or ZAR. Starts on your Mac's currency when it's in the list. Amounts are written in your Mac's number format.
- **Tax:** From 0% to 30% in half-percent steps (0% by default). One rate applies to the subtotal. At 0% no tax line is shown.
- **Payment due:** On receipt, 7, 14, 30 or 60 days (14 days by default). The due date is worked out from today and printed under the invoice date.
- **Notes:** Bank details, payment instructions or a thank-you, shown at the bottom. Separate lines with semicolons.
- **Page size:** A4 or US Letter. Starts on US Letter in the US and Canada and A4 elsewhere.

## Tips
- Your details are remembered for next time, and so is the invoice number. Change the number before each new invoice so you don't send two with the same one.
- For a single item, description | price is enough; the quantity is taken as 1.
- Decimals can use a full stop or a comma (15.50 or 15,50), and thousands separators work too (1,200 or 1.200,00). Separate columns with | to be safe.
- Put your bank details in Notes, one per line with semicolons, like Bank: …; Account: …; Sort code: …
- Check with your accountant or tax office what an invoice must show where you work, and add it to Your details or Notes.
- Keep a copy of every invoice you send. The dated folders in Downloads › OneMacTools make a simple record.

## Questions
**How do I make an invoice on a Mac?**
Open Invoice Generator, type your items one per line like Website design | 1 | 1200, fill in your details and your client's, and click Create Invoice. You get a finished PDF with the subtotal, tax and total worked out.

**Can I paste items from a spreadsheet?**
Yes. Copy rows with description, quantity and price columns from Numbers or Excel and paste them in. The tabs between columns are recognised.

**How do I add VAT or GST?**
Set Tax to your rate, like 20% or 18%. It's added to the subtotal and shown as its own line. Put your tax registration number in Your details.

**Do I have to type my business details every time?**
No. Your details and other settings are remembered for next time. Just update the client, items and invoice number.

**What if I don't give it an invoice number?**
It uses INV- followed by today's date, like INV-20261014. Set your own if you number invoices in sequence.

**Can I add my logo?**
No. The invoice has a clean, standard layout with your business name at the top of the From column.

**Why does it say a line needs a price?**
Each line needs at least a description and a price separated by |, a tab, a semicolon or a comma. Check that line has both.
