## How to use it
1. **Add the PDF.** Drop one or more PDFs onto Extract Pages.
2. **List the pages to keep.** In Pages to keep, type page numbers and ranges, like 1-3, 5, 8-.
3. **Click Extract.** The pages are saved as a new PDF ending in “extracted”, in a dated folder in Downloads › OneMacTools.
4. **Send it on.** Use the Preview (eye) button to check it, or Show in Finder to attach it to an email.

## Options
- **Pages to keep:** Page numbers and ranges separated by commas, like 1-3, 5, 8-. An open range like 8- means page 8 to the end. Pages are saved in the order you type them. This can't be left blank.

## Tips
- The order you type is the order you get, so 5, 1-4 puts page 5 first. That makes Extract Pages a quick way to pull and reorder at once.
- To send just the signature page of a contract, extract that one page rather than the whole document.
- To get one file per page instead of one combined file, use Split PDF with Pages per file set to 1.
- If you drop several PDFs, the same pages are taken from each, which suits pulling page 1 from a batch of forms.

## Questions
**How do I save one page of a PDF as a new file on a Mac?**
Drop the PDF onto Extract Pages, type the page number in Pages to keep and click Extract. That page is saved as its own PDF.

**How do I extract several pages that aren't next to each other?**
Separate them with commas, like 2, 5, 9-12. They're combined into one new PDF in that order.

**What does 8- mean?**
Page 8 through to the last page. Likewise, -3 means pages 1 to 3.

**What's the difference between Extract Pages and Split PDF?**
Extract Pages makes one new PDF from the pages you choose. Split PDF divides the whole document into several files.

**Can I change the page order while extracting?**
Yes. Pages are saved in the order you type, so 4, 1, 2 gives you page 4 first.
