## How to use it
1. **Choose the format.** Pick how the colour should be copied: HEX, RGB, HSL, CSS rgb() or SwiftUI.
2. **Click Pick Colour.** A magnifier appears so you can see individual pixels. You can also start it from the OneMacTools menu bar icon.
3. **Click the colour.** Click any pixel on any screen. Press Escape to cancel.
4. **Paste it.** The colour is copied to the clipboard in your chosen format, and the window shows a swatch with what was copied.

## Options
- **Copy as:** HEX (#1A73E8), RGB (26, 115, 232), HSL (hsl(214, 82%, 51%)), CSS rgb() (rgb(26 115 232)) or SwiftUI (Color(red: 0.102, green: 0.451, blue: 0.910)). Choose the one that matches where you'll paste it.

## Tips
- Use HEX for most design tools and CSS. It's the shortest and most widely accepted format.
- Choose HSL when you plan to make lighter or darker shades, because you can change just the lightness value.
- Pick from a flat area of colour, away from edges and text, so you don't land on a blended pixel.
- Pick colours from a screenshot or the original image rather than a compressed video, where colours shift slightly.
- Need every main colour in an image at once? Colour Palette from Image pulls them out in one go.

## Questions
**How do I find the HEX code of a colour on my Mac screen?**
Set Copy as to HEX, click Pick Colour and click the colour. The HEX code, such as #1A73E8, is copied to your clipboard.

**How do I pick a colour from a website on a Mac?**
Open the page, click Pick Colour and click the colour on the page. It works on any app or window, not just browsers.

**Can I copy a colour as RGB or HSL?**
Yes. Choose RGB, HSL or CSS rgb() in Copy as before you pick. RGB gives three numbers from 0 to 255; HSL gives hue, saturation and lightness.

**How do I get a SwiftUI colour from the screen?**
Choose SwiftUI in Copy as. You get a ready-to-paste Color(red:green:blue:) line with values from 0 to 1.

**Can I pick a colour without opening the app?**
Yes. Click the OneMacTools menu bar icon and choose Colour Picker. It uses the format you last chose.

**Why is the picked colour slightly different from the design file?**
Colours are converted to sRGB, and images and videos on screen may already be compressed or colour-managed. For an exact value, pick from the original file or check the design tool.
